The Power Station AC-3502 by in-akustik reliably eliminates disruptive interference from the power grid. At the core of this power distributor is a parallel filter specially developed for audiophile applications, which effectively reduces both line-borne and device-generated noise—without compromising power delivery.
Thanks to star-wired internal cabling, it ensures uniform and low-loss power distribution to all connected audio components. As a result, the AC-3502 provides a stable foundation for a soundstage that remains both detailed and dynamic. All internal components are housed in a solid metal chassis, with a black anodized, brushed aluminum front panel that meets the highest aesthetic standards. The rear panel features six meticulously crafted outlets. A central IEC C20 mains input allows for easy cable replacement when needed—for instance, over longer distances. An integrated surge protection system safeguards valuable audio equipment against voltage spikes. All outputs can be conveniently controlled via the easily accessible "Power" button on the front panel.

Background
Where does excellent sound begin—and where does it lose its quality? This question has always been on the minds of audiophiles. One thing is clear: physical conditions have a significant influence on the sound reproduction of a hi-fi system. One factor that is often underestimated is the power supply. Ultimately, all we hear is household electricity modulated by the music signal. However, if this signal is mixed with interference or electrical influences from other consumers – whether from within the home or even from the surrounding area – the sound quality suffers. Devices with digital circuits, switching power supplies, charging stations for electric vehicles, and photovoltaic systems in particular cause increasing network distortions. These disturbances pose a major challenge for hi-fi components and have a negative effect on the sound image – comparable to an acoustic veil. Since very few music lovers have an independent power supply, they are dependent on the often heavily loaded public power grid. For them, sound optimization therefore begins at the power outlet—or even at the fuse box—since the section before that is beyond their control.
Parallel filters
Special filter solutions are required to eliminate interference from the power supply. However, conventional filters, especially serial variants, are notorious for impairing the dynamics of the sound image. The reason for this lies in the intermediate coils within the power supply, which increase the transition resistance and can slow down fast impulse currents. The Reference AC-3502 deliberately takes a different approach here: at its heart is a parallel filter specially designed to meet audiophile requirements, which effectively dissipates disruptive mains interference – both from the mains supply and from connected devices – without throttling the power supply. This is complemented by a decoupled subchassis that effectively absorbs mechanical vibrations of the filter elements caused by the 50 Hz mains frequency. The star-shaped cable routing also ensures that energy is distributed evenly to all connected devices. The Power Station AC-3502 thus forms a reliable basis for sound reproduction that is both finely nuanced and powerful.
Additional features
All of the electronics are housed in a robust enclosure, which is not only functional but also visually appealing thanks to its brushed aluminum front. There are six sockets on the rear panel, providing sufficient connection options for high-quality audio components. The central power connection in the form of a high-current socket (IEC C20) allows for easy replacement of the power cable – for example, for longer installations. Additional safety is provided by integrated surge protection, which reliably protects sensitive devices from voltage spikes in the power grid. Operation is convenient via a “Power” button on the front panel, which can be used to activate or deactivate all outputs simultaneously. An LED indicator provides information about the current operating status: if it lights up red, the sockets are deactivated; if it lights up blue, they are active.
